Terms & Conditions   

Reservations are accepted on a first come first served basis, all retreats and events require advance registration, evey effort will be made to honor last minute requests or changes, but they are not guaranteed, each retreat/ product/ event have different reservation requirements.

 

To reserve a space, a deposit of 1/2 of the total price for the retreat/ event must be received in advance in accordance with the terms for that specific product. The balance is due five days prior to the retreat/event. The House at French Creek accepts credit cards, Paypal payments, and checks. (all checks made out to Iowa Farmhouse LLC).

 

Deposits are non refundable, but in the event of a cancellation, may be transfered to another product. Cancellations must be received one week from the start date of a retreat or event, cancellations with less than one week's notice will forfeit the deposit.

 

All sales are final and subject to Iowa sales/ lodging tax. (many retreats already include tax in the price)

 

In the event a retreat or event is cancelled by The House at French Creek, retreat customers will receive a full refund. 

 

Prices are subject to change without notice.

Policies

The House at French Creek reserves the right to refuse service/ product for any reason allowed by law. That being said, The House at French Creek welcomes all visitors and guests without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.

The House at French Creek is not wheelchair accessible and guests with special needs are encouraged to inquire about accommodation and accessibility prior to registering for a retreat or event.

 

All reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate special requests. 

 

The House at French Creek provides a combination of pre-prepared and communal meals with beverages and snacks available throughout the day. Each meal includes a vegetarian option. Whenever possible we source organic and local, many items coming from our own garden. Alcohol is served at evening meals. Guests are encouraged to bring a favorite bottle of wine to share.

Refrigerator space is limited, guests are asked to refrain from bringing items that require refrigeration (with exception for prescriptions and medications). 

 

The House at French Creek strives to provide a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere that encourages creativity and meditation, disruptive or antagonistic behavior from guests is not tolerated. There are no firearms allowed on the premises.  

 

The House at French Creek is located in a rural setting, be advised, the closest hospital is about 20 minutes away.

 

All creative retreats include use of acrylic and other water based painting supplies. Canvas, brushes, and easels are also provided.

Painting is done outdoors, weather permitting. In the event of rain, creative activities are moved indoors. Guests are encouraged to bring their own brushes, paints, and works in progress ( there will be no offset for guests using their own materials ).
